Kicker and defense spending is nearly flat everywhere — almost every team spends $1–$6 combined on K+DEF at auction each year. The outliers: Kelvin's $25 Eagles defense in 2025, Glen's $12 Brandon Aubrey in 2026, and Dexter's $6 Seahawks defense in 2025 — all three were auction picks, not keeper selections.

League Rules
The league's official rules — this page is the record
$250 draft salary cap — the auction is run outside Yahoo.
When the season starts, the salary cap increases to $250 + the highest drafted player's salary. This is to accommodate trades.
Roster Moves
You have unlimited moves. Meaning you can replace any player on your roster for any reason/no reason. Each transaction — picking a player off waivers — costs $2.
Players picked up off waivers or free agency are $0 salary players and don't count against your cap.
For trades, each player traded costs $1. Trades don't count as moves.
If you conduct an unbalanced trade, say 3 players for 2, the team that has to pick up a replacement player on waivers or free agency will need to utilize a move. That move will cost $2. Something to think about.
Trade deadline is the Wednesday before Week 12 starts, updated each year — November 25, 2026 (11/25/26) for 2026.
We are using the default Yahoo waiver rules.
Available players are on waivers from Sun-Tues. Waiver priority applies. After the waiver period, players are Free Agents. So first come, first serve.
If a player from a team is dropped, there is a 2 day waiver period for that player.
Keepers
You can keep 4 players each season.
You can keep a player for up to 3 years total.
There is a $5 salary escalator each year for Years 2 & 3.
You can keep a player you traded for — trades don't change keeper eligibility.
You cannot keep a player that was picked up off waivers or free agency.
Rookie Draft
Starting next year, we will perform a single-round rookie draft approximately one week before the draft.
Draft order will be last place finisher from the prior year to first place.
Rookie draft picks will cost $12 for the first pick down to $1 for the last pick (assuming no one opts out).
Anyone can opt out of this rookie draft and keep all of their money for the regular draft. If a team opts out, the remaining teams move up, now paying the draft cost for the position that was vacated.
Only rookies can be drafted, and college players are not eligible.
These players fall under normal keeper rules for the following year.
There is no extra money — that stays at $250.
There are no extra bench spots.
You can trade your draft pick (only for the next year) during the current year.
